Wiz: That's very much understating him, but yes, if you want us to do that, we will.

Op - I’m not the leader of this group, who tells people what to do—just in my opinion, we should be focusing on Christian stuff in this forum.
What would Jesus do? He’d forgive Robbert and let him be in the group without nagging him all the time. Even though it might be hard, I think that’s what we should do...

Well, I’m not sure if this forum includes prayer requests, but I have something I’d like to ask for prayer if you guys don’t mind:

My grandma from my mom’s side is secular and lives overseas in an apartment by herself. My grandpa was a believer and died from cancer before I was born, but my grandma doesn’t know or care that much about Jesus.
We visit her every 2 years, but due to COVID last year our trip was cancelled. So, for most of 2020 she was in an apartment bedroom by herself, quarantined from other people in the building, and it was too cold for her to go outside. We still FaceTime with her and stuff, but she’s 70-something and doesn’t have that much time left, so if you guys could pray that she becomes a believer and’ll rest in heaven, I’d appreciate it.

👍
[I don't think I hated... I honestly just want to understand his perspective -- @Robbert, if you want to know more, I'd suggest C.S. Lewis' Mere Christianity ]

Thanks, @Pyro! Did thumbs-up mean you’ll pray, or something else about @Robbert?

Pyro: Oh, yeah, that's a great book. At least, my parents have told me that. I'm planning to read it soon. 😂

Of course we will pray!! ♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡

Books I suggest if you want to learn more about Christianity, are questioning it, or you're an atheist looking for answers. And just really good books.
P.S. The ones with an asterisk are ones I've personally read or reading.

  1. *The Holy Bible ; ) (I reccomend a life application version)
  2. *How NOT to Read the Bible (Don't worry, it doesn't mean don't read it!)
  3. *Not the Religious Type (Written by a former atheist)
  4. *New Answers ( All four of 'em)
  5. *The Purpose Driven Life: What On Earth Am I Here For?
  6. Mere Christianity (Like Pyro said)
  7. *Don't Check Your Brains at the Door (I believe also written by a former atheist)
  8. Evidence that Demands a Verdict
  9. *Blessed Child
  10. *The Heavenly Man
  11. *The Narnia series
  12. *The Wingfeather Saga
  13. The Space Trilogy

The ahem Book of Mormon.

Fight me.

It's actually good to read books about other religions, beliefs, etc. As long as you hold tight to God and don't allow your faith to be shaken. You can find truths, but you need to able to discern what is true and what is not from God. But don't worry, we have the Bible to help us with that! But remember, other religions do not lead to the same place. You may think they have a basis in truth, but while they have "good things", only God is the one true God. And where do you think those religions got those good things? 😉 From God! He's the original!

TallGirl - Thanks! That means a lot! 😄

No offense intended, jalc. I don't think I'm better than you or anything, but this is what I believe.

Did anybody take the Enneagram test?

The what now?

I said "fight me" as a thing to anyone with a problem with the book of Mormon who was going to be vocal about it, not to you. Anyways the book of Mormon expands upon the bible kinda, so I mainly believe what you believe and more.

Take this test with your family and change your spiritual and emotional life! (Seriously...)

Oh, I see. It kind of sounded like you were trying to start something... ; ) I am always super wary, I don't want to get into some big shenanigan.
Could you tell me more about the actual Mormon belief and how it differs from Christianity? And mainly believe is kind of misleading. There are many things in the Bible that lots of different religions "also believe", but that doesn't make them the same. Most religions have "common" themes (no doubt because they all stemmed from people who knew one God), but still core differences, such as what god(s) they worship. Technically, Muslams believe Jesus was a real person- but not many people say Christianity and Islam is practically identical, because they're not. ♡

Anyhoo, I'd love to learn more.

I tried the test, and a lot of the questions made sense, like "Yes! This is totally me!" But then I got a result that made me a lot more insecure than I am, so I don't know. I answered a lot of them like "I feel different" and "I don't belong", but I meant more of an "I'm unique". It's cause I homeschool and most of my friends don't anymore, and they are kind of the "cool kids" to me, (and sometimes even my cousins ignore me- at church!) but I know I'm special in a good way. My mom calls me her Luna Lovegood.
