Yeah, it’s often used in other forums because it will send an alert to the user, but it seems kinda pointless on this particular forum.

I had an interesting thought in the shower this morning. Every morning when I get up and open my bedroom door, the first sight to greet me is cats. All our cats swarm into my bedroom the second I open the door, purring, rubbing against my legs, sticking their heads into my hands so I’ll pet them, etc. I shoo them out of my room, (Cats + LEGO + unattended room = disaster!) and head to the kitchen to feed them. The minute their food is on the ground, they drop me like a hot potato and ignore me like typical, arrogant, self-centered cats do the rest of the day, until the next morning, when they’re magically transformed into loving cats again. How often we as Christians treat God like cats treat me! When we need something, we go to church, pray throughout the day, read our Bible, tithe, etc., but, far too often, “Christians” get what they need, whether it be finances, good health, etc., and drop the LORD until they need him again, treating him like a spare tire that stays in the trunk until it’s needed. Let us strive to not be like cats, and to love and respect God all the time!

It’s funny how Satan works sometimes. We’re in the middle of campmeeting with an evangelist right now, and in the middle of a great sermon series on “Hell’s Sadness, Earth’s Madness, and Heaven’s Gladness”. I could hardly wait until tonight’s service, when a disaster involving a glass of chocolate milk and my only suit happens. Now the dry cleaner can’t get it back until Thursday (at least!). Sometimes Satan picks the most out of the way routes to try and prevent you from hearing a good message! However, God willing, I will find some kind of replacement before tonight.

The first thing which the Satan tries to destroy is Unity. It is important to stay together even in these troubled times. Remember God loves us. 😃

Prayer request: my mom’s side of the family is secular, and my 16-year-old cousin and his girlfriend gave birth to a baby boy last night. The baby is safe and healthy, (and my cousin is taking it well) but could you pray for wisdom for him and his girlfriend as they raise their child?
