LDD & LDraw Conversion Data
Sim started this discussion in Official LEGO® Sets and Parts

If your model imported with the LDD/LDRAW importer is having some bricks misplaced, it means that some of the -what we call- conversion data is still not completed for the misplaced bricks. You can report here (although it will be much at this time) if bricks are misplaced. Sometimes, bricks won't appear in Mecabricks as they don't exist yet.

Part #6157 should now import correctly.

@wlange
Thanks! 😃

Well I thought I did. 😕

Version 4.3.10 and Brick version 2248. It is supposed to self-update yesno?

@Runescope, what exactly are you trying to do? What do you mean with "brick version 2248"? Do you mean the minifig upper part no. 2248? Note, that decal parts are not supported by the LDD importer, even if the parts in question are in the Mecabricks library.

@Runescope
No. But actually it will ask you to updated it or not, or you can download the updated one at LDD.LEGO.com. (I think that is what are you asking for. 😄)

If you ask about that 18677. Have you try to use the Extended Mode?

14918 should import as 3942, currently does not import
76768 is slightly different from 2339, but should probably be imported anyway.
50990 should import as 51373
30359v1 imports backwards

^^ This has been done

There's a quite difference between these 2 parts. I can't add a reference from one to another.

30359v1 imports backwards
^^ Still needs to be done. (I don't have time right now to do it)

@wlange That's the version of the LDD that I have. When you go into the "About" section in help, that's what it shows. To the best of my knowledge, the LDD autoupdates to the latest version. The download link has the same version as I do.

@Kamteey I looked all through preferences for extended mode, and didn't see anything.

@Runescope
I have that part in Extended Mode. But, why you don't? 😕

Try...
Download that part, Here (as .lxf)! If it doesn't show the part...
What about Re-Install it? 😃

Well, this question has been asked too, Here.

Misplaced 6246d.. 😦

6246d should be work ok now.

@wlange
Still need a bit of improvement:

This is as precise as it can be adjusted. Also, please consider that LDD vs. MB meshes might be slightly different (at LDD import LDD parts will be replaced by MB parts, i.e. it's not a conversion of meshes from one format to another).

6246d is an old part in Mecabricks and I would need to redo it at some stage, I'll see what I can do at that time.

Hello There. Im trying to Import a model of Speeder bikes from LDD to MecaBricks. All successfully imported except one part number: 4529662.
Its LEGO Reddish Brown Three-wheeled Motor Cycle.

@KropocLeckor, that part is not in the library and would have to be modeled. The part number is 76040. You may want to file a request under http://www.mecabricks.com/en/forum/topic/50

Just found that part Palm Tree Trunk was available in both LDD (as 6135) and Mecabricks (as 2536), but the import function doesn't import it...

Should import now.
