LDD & LDraw Conversion Data
Sim started this discussion in Official LEGO® Sets and Parts

If your model imported with the LDD/LDRAW importer is having some bricks misplaced, it means that some of the -what we call- conversion data is still not completed for the misplaced bricks. You can report here (although it will be much at this time) if bricks are misplaced. Sometimes, bricks won't appear in Mecabricks as they don't exist yet.

Hello, with the release of a new brick pack in LDD, it is maybe worth re-checking the pieces that were marked as not in LDD and that are now in LDD.
I let you organise that if you wish.

It's about 44 from 318 new LDD parts (≙ ~14%) to be updated. I've marked these as being available in LDD in the library, so they should at least import (I can provide a list of these parts, if needed by anyone).

I can go through them next week to update the conversion data if needed. 😃

FYI, I have completed the conversion data update for all new parts coming with LDD 4.3.9.

Part 18228 is marked as not available, but its just under 98385 in LDD (which is already an alias)

Part 57518 doesn't import from LDD, it should be mapped to 88323. (I just added 57518 as an alias to 88323.

I've set both aliases on LDD conversions as well. 😃

Something I've had import wrong (several times) is part #6014 Rim Wide W. Hole Ø11 is turned backwards (180 degrees) from its original position. I've noticed some models in the library have that problem with them. Maybe it should stay that way so that you can tell if they imported from LDD. 😛 I'd rather have it fixed though. 😃

Part #6014 should import ok now. Verified with set 2531-1.

Just tried it myself, and it worked. Thanks! I have a suggestion for importing part #10313. Maybe when it's imported, it could be changed to part #4488, which is very similar. 😉

Part #10313 should import as #4488 now.

Works here!

I can't find this part in the LDD, using the part # 18677 returns a completely different part and I've looked through all the plate 1x2 and I can't find it, though there is a similar part, but it's upside down.

Is this about part 11458? Please let me know if it's fixed now.

Part #11458 is the upside down version of part#18677. 11458 has both the loop and the studs facing the same direction, while 18677 has the loop and the studs facing in opposite directions.

I've checked both aforementioned parts and they import perfectly fine into Mecabricks, so I'm not sure what your actual issue is. Is it about a part, which you forgot to mention?

Nooooo, as I said, as far as I can tell part 18677 as listed in Mechabricks doesn't exist in the LDD, only part 11458 does.

I don't understand either what you mean:
Part 18677 in mecabricks is exactly the same as in LDD.
Part 11458 in Mecabricks is exactly the same as in LDD.

Do you have the latest version of LDD?

6157 is misplaced (for me)!
