Hello,
I thought it would be a good idea to start a new topic to post the renderings of models built in mecabricks.
So here is my version of the Ecto-1 LEGO set:
Ghostbusters by mecabricks, on Flickr
This was the first time I used the Cycles renderer from Blender and the node editor. I really enjoyed doing it and I'm looking forward to improve my skills.
Exactly, the only piece a bit different is the hook.
Yes, I also rendered this (but I haven't photographed the skull and head) 😨
I tried to make a glowing effect around a sword by having a slightly larger transparent one on the outside. Not that successful.
Hey UmbraManis, that effect is not bad! 😉
Today I understood how to use Blender compositor and add glare and lens distorsions 😉

I guess you need to share your knowledge now 😉 I would be actually quite interested in learning how to do that.
I followed these tutorials:
• Introduction to the Compositor by Blender Guru
• Compositing Nodes by Archive Blender

Great Lighting zanna!

Thanks and nice idea UmbraManis! 😎
What if Shaggy meets Destroyer Boss MK I by plus... 😮 💥

very cool!
So nice. But the Polaroid picture isn't really correct *:-)
The Empire State is so convincing. You have to look close to realize that this is a LEGO model *:-D
virtualrepublic, do you mean that a real Polaroid frame is not a square? 😛
Thanks ^^
The picture itself yes, but not the Polaroid. The lower part contains the chemicals for the picture! 😃
Just google for Polaroid. But I doubt we have such kind of format what fits to a polaroid frame.
Another fantastic model by Chris McVeigh, Apple Macintosh Plus 💾
Very good! 😃
