Hello,
I thought it would be a good idea to start a new topic to post the renderings of models built in mecabricks.
So here is my version of the Ecto-1 LEGO set:
Ghostbusters by mecabricks, on Flickr
This was the first time I used the Cycles renderer from Blender and the node editor. I really enjoyed doing it and I'm looking forward to improve my skills.
That looks awesome Zanna!
^^
Now I'm working with materials, I'm following some tutorials like this (video)
While waiting for high quality render, this is the result:

Here is the first attempt about motion blur in Blender - if you are interested I can make a short tutorial 😉
Stratoplane "The Bumblebee" by RuMontag
Yes. I'm interested! If you wish to do this tutorial, start another post 😉
Nice one. I would set the rotation to SUPERFAST. That would look better for the still I think.
Nice, you can find the Motion Blur tutorial here!
virtualrepublic, yes, I think you're right.. 😉
When I saw this model I couldn't help thinking about one of the last scenes in the Lord of the Rings 😛

Nice, nice. Keep it up. I love your renderings. Wished, I had more time ...
Thank you virtualrepublic! 😜
Yes... I'm spending my holidays at home, so I have a lot of free time...

Then convert the backplate to a LEGO version ^^
Hey virtualrepublic: I'm not so crazy! 😆
Another interior render ^^

Last day of free time. Two renders about Lego Architecture: 😝
Lego Sydney Opera House (10234) by Scrubs 🎼
Lego The Leaning Tower of Pisa (21015) by Scrubs 🇮🇹
My first attempt at converting a cape to a fabric material.
Nice lighting UmbraManis 😃
Unfortunately I can not see the fabric material 😵
I didn't say it was all that successful. 😄
I'm working on another attempt.
UmbraManis: let's try and try again 😉
Today I failed too... 'cause I tried to add grain to sloping pieces, but I spent 2 uselessy hours 😭 😢 😡
So, this is the render of Lego Enzo Ferrari 1:17 (8652) by zanna 🇮🇹
Hope you like these renders too!

Hi guys,
yesterday I did a little test to compare a photo with a render.
I must start by saying that, unless you are in a photographic studio, it is difficult to perfectly recreate the lighting conditions. So already from this point there are some differences.
Here is the comparison:
Lego Captain Red Beard with Pirate Hat with Skull by UmbraManis
Considerations:
1️⃣ parts geometry - It is almost perfect! 💯
2️⃣ materials - in this case the minifigure has several years, so pieces don't reflect lights so well, so I added a bit of roughness. The sword is matte (opaque) in reality.
3️⃣ textures - in real textures there are print defects that are difficult to recreate digitally. however I think it's quite easy to photograph a real texture and apply it to an uv map. I don't want to say that realistic uv maps like this must be in Mecabricks 😜
What do you think guys?
Thanks for this experiment. Hook geometry is not that great though. It seems to be wider in the real version.I can improve 😉
Did you try to render it with this modified texture?
