Hello,
I thought it would be a good idea to start a new topic to post the renderings of models built in mecabricks.
So here is my version of the Ecto-1 LEGO set:

This was the first time I used the Cycles renderer from Blender and the node editor. I really enjoyed doing it and I'm looking forward to improve my skills.
Thanks, Masman8675! 😃
BURP Renderfarm supports Filmic Blender but will deliver PNG. For the ones who havn't tested BURP. It's a nice concept using BOINC. BOINC is a frontend for many types of cloud based computing tasks like Seti@Home. BURP is using a credit system. You should run BOINC to select credits to get a higher rank for using the distributed renderfarm. But it's not fully automized. Your jobs will moved into the render list when accepted by the admin. This might take a day. So it's a nice option to use it for a hobby but not commercial work because everyone can download the result.
This spintest with 250 frames in full HD took around 24 hous till the admin started it and the total rendering took 1 day 10h 4′ 28″. Not bad to be honest. I recommend to split the frames in more that 4 tiles. That seems to be more efficient.

Anyone else feel like they're watching a JANGBRiCKS review? 😄
That looks fantastic! The slope pieces seem a little bit polished (the bump map isn't too obvious), but apart from that it is quite difficult to tell it is a render.
Here's a test render for a short film I'm making in Blender...

Sorry for the low poly baseplate(I imported it from Ldraw 😃 )
LDRAW isn't really low-poly 😉
True, but when you export from LDRAW to .3ds and then import that into Blender...
Which is why I'm using MecaBricks now.
@MagnifyStudio
I think the studs hit the leg of the minifig, but it's a virtual build so no problem here.. 😅
That's not an image link, here's the image link! You just need to replace the link with that/my link. ⬅️ 😉
@MagnifyStudio You have to use the LDR-importer for BLENDER to import LDRAW-data directly what gives you best result.
Thank you, @KAMTEEY for correcting the link, I was wondering why it wasn't showing up! 😄
@RENDERBRICKS I had tried that awhile back and it didn't work, but I'll look in to it. 😃
I'm pretty sure I didn't have the right path to the LDRAW parts...
Yes. Looks like that. Because my very first tests with LDRAW in 2014 are finally the reason why you guys can render with Mecabricks in a much cooler way. 😉
LDRAW might be great but it's painful to import bigger models. Beside that the data is perfect with this add-on.
This was the final result of my very first research in the mid of 2014. End of 2014 I found Mecabricks and got in touch with SCRUBS to inspire him to unlock rendering. And finally everything became unique and awesome. 😃

Very nice render!
Was it rendered in cycles?
@Renderbricks
German? Just saw the last line of your comment...
@NGCHunter Ja. Deutsch seit 51 Jahren 😃 (Rendered in Germany)
@Renderbricks
Na, dann bin ich ja nicht der einzige hier! 😉 Wenn auch nicht seit 51 Jahren...

Hey, that's pretty neat UmbraManis!
Happy to share with you a project I spent many hours to finish 😄
