Hello,
I thought it would be a good idea to start a new topic to post the renderings of models built in mecabricks.
So here is my version of the Ecto-1 LEGO set:

This was the first time I used the Cycles renderer from Blender and the node editor. I really enjoyed doing it and I'm looking forward to improve my skills.
Ahahaha this is so awesome! 😄 Great work again wlange 😂
Many thanks! 😉
Cool animation.
Cool job, Zanna!

Would be great on Mecabricks because to import and deal with LDRAW-data is time consuming and painful. 😃
Great renders, zanna!
I am pretty sure it will end up in a LEGO® box 😃
Very nice.
Outstanding 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏
Hey wlange! I already saw the first one, so nice 😄
And the second one, I like it because it's so strange, is it a remake of a cover? 😉
It's both from the movie. 😉

This is about image-based lighting using Google Photo Speres. There's an app for creating these - plus some magic to derive pretty decent (fake) HDRIs from it. The rest is based on a tutorial from Andrew Price (minus the @%$ error in it...). I'm pretty happy with the result.
wow, impressive work wlange !
KK - Kempen. I lived there till I was 4 or 5.
To all who are interested. Here's the high-end version of this method:

The Mill invented a car what records a full HDRI incl. lidar scanning what is finally important for realistic reflections at position. This is of course a technology used for integrating CGI cars into filmed plates.
