I'm just confused at exactly what the message is, TBH. Are we emphasizing the difference between people because of skin color or not?

@Pyro I know O_O. The disturbing part is, yeah, I think some people have said some rude things... but a lot of people are respectfully pushing back, not out of racism, but because of their inconsistency in supporting political activism... which they are doing, even if they don't admit it, along with a few other problems, and getting suspended for it... like me O_O. They're also creating barriers between ethnicities, even if trying to do so positively. Really though... we probably shouldn't break our own rules by getting political here o_o... I mean, technically this is still LEGO discussion... but with politics as an aspect so, yeah .

Boy… That is ridiculous. -_- Any time a certain race/gender is treated as more important than the other, it turns into an “us vs. them” situation, and we lose sight of the REAL meaning of equality: we’re all equal. 😦

I agree with Op, it seems like an awkward attempt at inclusion that went awry.
Personally, I think it would make more sense to have a Sci-Fi contest with a few different subgenres that are inspired by different cultures or something.
I mean, if TLG wants to do something for black history month they could probably just do an artist spotlights or something...

It just doesn't seem very well thought out...
