@Greenie: Hate to break it to you, but I'm not entirely convinced that you would actually die. The tesla coil's energy would be attracted to the metal ball, so while you might get some second-hand zapping, I don't know whether or not you would be dead.

It was a cold night, and the air was thin. The rain fell softly, and ran down my chin. With a sandwich in hand, like everyone else, I hurried home, to put it on my shelf. Suddenly through the air, a sharp cry I did hear, and then over there, and behind my left ear! "My sandwich is gone," each yelled through their tears. "My sandwich is gone, though I had it right here!" With importance at hand, and much dismay, I looked for a sign, to save everyone's day. Then on the rooftop, a figured appeared, clad in a visor, a bag and a spear. In the bag, as was obvious, each ones sandwich had gone, including my own, of which I was fond. "I'll get you Operator," I yelled with my fist in the air; but he leapt quietly away, which wasn't fare.
