@Greeny/MB, I totally agree with you on the romance in movies thing. I am especially not a huge fan of romance in kids
movies. like why? I also think the Rey & Ben thing in the rise of sky walker was done really poorly!

@Forge, Yeah, the Rey and Ben thing was...random, to say the least. That’s the thing with romance in movies. If it’s well written and good for the plot etc. it’s fine. If it’s totally random and could be discarded without the film changing, then it’s irritating. Take the Star Wars sequels. Rey and Ben had literally no romantic anything, ever, unless you want to count to awkward Ben Swolo scene. Which was random, and AARRGGGHHH This really annoys me. Then, at the end of tRoS, they just kiss!! Like, what?!? Where did that come from?! The studio and Jar Jar Abrams were probably going with the “oh our two main characters are male and female! They should kiss!” idea. Like, no. Just no. That’s not how you do romance in a movie.
@MB, Yes to all of that! I sorta get the feeling that they just put that in the movie to cater to a particular fan base
with a toxic view of how a good relationship should be. like Kylo is kind of a jerk with bad anger issues.
over all it was just pretty random and I mean there where a so people working that movie I was surprised it made it to the final cut.
