If y'all will bare with me in some preaching...

We came back from the Theology of the Family conference in North Carolina, which included speakers such as Paul Washer, Joel Beeke, Kevin Swanson, and was headed up by Scott Brown... and I will tell you what... I've never heard better teaching in my life. I was blown away, mostly by Paul Washer. Here is a sample if you've never heard hi before,

That's just 8 minutes of him though... I heard more, and I will tel you... in a gentle yet sobering way he shows you how wretched of a sinner you are, only to show you how Great of a savior God is. He truly loves God, and considers him holy. As do all the other speakers, but Paul Washer was my personal favorite. He by no means makes you feel comfortable, at all, but he does make you grateful. I can't help but thank God for him, because I've been absolutely blessed by his teaching. From this conference I've picked up a lot, but one thing I will share is this. Seek God, and seek His holiness. Search for it, cry out to God to show you it, and apply it to your life. Love your family selflessly, and live for Christ. Not because it's worth it, and not because it's right, but because it will glorify God, for He is worthy of all blessing, and honor, and glory. God is good, and mighty, and amazing. He comes before all, and is the center and reason for all. We don't exist to live a good, happy, and successful life, though it's not wrong to, but we live to glorify a God who deserves our obedience and worship.
