@DrPepper, In the original trilogy, yes, in the end, "the kid wins" even though by then, Luke isn't really a kid. In the prequels, Emperor Palpatine wins and he is by no means a kid. In the sequels, I guess the "kid" wins, the kid being Rey. In Rogue one, the Empire wins. In the Clone Wars, in the end, the Empire wins. If by each movie, in the Phantom Menace, I guess the good guys won, but they weren't really kids. In Attack of the Clones, I wouldn't say either sides win. In Revenge of the Sith, the Empire wins. In a New Hope, the Rebels win, including Luke, who was 19, which is technically not a kid. In the Empire Strikes Back, I would say the Empire wins. In Return of the Jedi, the Rebels win. The Force Awakens, um, I think they win? That movie was basically A New Hope with a female protagonist. In The Last Jedi...uhhhhh...I don't think anyone really "won", they all sort of just left. In the Rise of Skywalker, Rey and the Resistance win. In Rogue One, the Empire wins, but the Rebels get the Death Star plans. In Solo, Han wins, sort of. In the Clone Wars, they win a lot of the time, but in the final season, the Empire wins. In the Mandalorian, I guess Mando wins. I don't know about Rebels or Resistance, I haven't seen those. So, in conclusion, I would say that the kid wins maybe once? Mostly the Empire wins, so the phrase "the kid wins" can't really portray the Star War movies/shows.
