Legolas is, IMO, not a bad addition. I haven't watched the Hobbit trilogy, but Legolas would've been alive in the time it took place. I their defense, Legolas was a very popular character in the LotR trilogy, so it was good for advertising. I do agree that Amazon will most likely ruin LotR in their show . . . . They'll definitely make it very secular and . . . modern . . . . 😕

To me, the three Hobbit movies weren't that bad, I most enjoyed the second. Tauriel and Kili (or Fili whatever) drove me crazy though. I hadn't actually heard about Amazon creating a LOTR show. But yeah it'll probably be bad.

@D_R Good early morning. Yesterday it looked like you got up at five! Or, five something or other... anyways I agree with you on the Hobbit. I even kinda liked how they tied it into the LoTR movies. I know they took a bunch of stuff and kinda... well... rearranged Middle Earth history... but if you think about it... when you are a film maker you kinda have to scrunch things sometimes.

@Everyone, or I guess half of what I just said was also directed at everyone... but anyways... today while I was walking around our new property I discovered we have two giant pecan trees that are over weight. Literally... you can't wrap your arms around them. The coolest thing though is that they have thick vines one them, so you can basically just grab the vine and walk up the tree. Really cool... I just need gloves because, nah! I'll let my hands get more calloused... it just hurts 😂

Greenie: I agree, being a screenplay writer. is difficult. Trees can be fat, that's nothing new. Cool thing, those vines. XD I wouldn't use gloves because they make it harder to grip the tree. 😆

Actually it depends what kind of gloves. I've used a pair that make me feel like Spiderman because the grip to the tree so well.
