@MrBrick, Yes I hate when that happens. And it happened just recently. My brother and I have been watching the TV series The Waltons Season 2. (I don't know if any of y'all've seen it.) Anyway, we've been doing that to make time pass during lockdown. Well we finished season 2, and found out that we couldn't get season three from the library because of the lockdown and someone else had it and we couldn't get it. So we were a bit stuck.
(Luckily Dad gave us Macgyver to watch while we were waiting.)
