## Digital Design and Rendering contest
A few years ago, I organised a digital design competition based on the Scooby Doo sets. The old timers from Mecabricks may remember it. This year Mecabricks became a Recognized LEGO Online Community (RLOC) which allows us to receive support from the LEGO Group for activities. To celebrate this achievement I have decided to organise a new contest.
## 1. Goal
Participants shall select ONE of the official Speed Champions cars, build a diorama made of LEGO elements and produce a rendered image of the scene. Only the final image will be judged.
## 2. Submitting your entry
Image shall be posted in the render section, of the official set the car belongs to. Copy the link and post your entry in the designated Entry topic along with the image.

## 3. Deadline
Entries shall be submitted by Sunday 20th May 2018 11:59pm UTC. Entries submitted after will not be considered.
## 4. Summary and Additional Rules
## 5. Prizes
## 6. Judging
Three Mecabricks power users will rank the entries according to three criteria:
I will probably be entering this contest too. 😃
@NGCHunter2 You will probably beat me. I've only been doing Blender since 9/1/17. Good luck to everyone! 😄
@NGCHunter2 It means the brand logo.
Okay. I see you added a new photo to the homepage. Looks really nice, Scrubs!
Do I have to use the minifigure(s) that come with the car or can I use a minifigure from another Speed Champions set or a custom minifigure?
Except for the car itself, everything else is up to you.
Ok, Thanks for the fast reply! 😃
so we can do any car?
@RYG7567
Everything's in the rules, look it up. 😉
You have to use only ONE of the official Speed Champions cars. You are free to add other cars as well, as long as they are your own (MOC, not some from TLG) and they should be only decoration (not the main car obviously).
Trivia: The text in brackets is actually a rhyme by accident.
Oops, sorry the question I posted has already been answered. By the way awesome contest and I’ll definitely be entering!
wow
Are we allowed to position things in a way not possible in real life? (I'm thinking of the front wheels being turned.)
And do we have to worry about model stability, or it is fine just as long as they're connected to something?
Question, can I change the color of the bricks on the car? Not a fan of that Mclaren P1 color.
@Masman8675 it is a rendering so it doesn't have to be a static model. You are free to do all those things.
@YeOldeAnimation No, car selected is to be used as is.

@Scrubs, sorry, I meant turning the wheels sideways as if turning a corner for better posing. 😃 But thank you for that answer too, I was a bit curious about having the car in motion too, but I figured it would be fine. 😛
Great job Zanna, that really added some curb appeal to the photo! 👍
That is an awesome poster for the contest and the front page, Zanna!
can i use any decal already in mecabrics? (for instance a jacet from the star wars series)
@Heathlix yes of course.
I am really excited for this contest! 😄 Thank you for putting this together. I hopefully will have the time to enter.
this is cool
