Brick Adventure Game: Planet Quest

We need your help to bring an adventure game to life. We are looking for people that want to be involved in creating content for Planet Quest using MecaBricks.

Please take a look at the pictures at the link below to have an understanding of the look and feel of the game, plus a small gimps of the story.

We are looking for mad max thunderdome style town with isolated outposts and locations to fill the world, It's a rough junk almost steampunk planet with space traders, pirates, hidden danger and exciting characters.
Locations are small dwellings/huts, workshops, ship repair/refuel, markets etc. Lots of makeshift not perfect places that look like they have been made from scrap or ship parts, nothing big and complex at this stage. Also any land planet vehicles or smashed destroyed ones.

This is a ultra creative project that is not in line with normal brick builds, but I'm keen to see who wants to be involved, if we get enough support we can release a free playable version for the MecaBricks community.

@Samino yes, you can. When you open the game again, just go kill yourself (in a pool of Lava etc.) 😛 then click load. It will load how you last saved, including any resources you had. I've done it many times now, it definitely works. 😉

Hmmm. I can't get any further on this version than the last... Anymore hints @AdrianRayner?

@ ArmoredBricks have you got the quadcopter to fly ???? Have you got the wrench ????

Also everyone I need some vehicles for the game. Can we take some time to do them great and every vehicle must have two versions one ready to drive and one destroyed and wrecked/broken. They need to be a cross between mad Max and moon buggies.
Remember this is a run down space port with not much so nothing to new and shiny, if you get what I mean.

Looking forward to see what you can do. Some can be buggies and some large transports I just want a lot to choose from.

Oh I have started putting version two picture on the website, and will post when I can.

@AdrianRayner I don't know how to get the wrench 😦

@AdrianRayner Remember asking me if I would like to make some character animations for the game a while back? I'd be open to doing them now if you want me to. Also, would you prefer having the minifigure style as a classic or a bendy style? If you prefer a bendy style, I just might have a solution. 😉

Wow, those screenshots look great! About the tower, I need to put the elevator ropes in still, sorry. Is there a way you can make the elevator take the character up and down? I was thinking, maybe the elevator would be stuck at the top and you could climb up the stairs and then fix it from there and ride it down. No Idea if that's possible or not... 😉 I'll go and put the strings on now.

Fixed up the elevator and its surroundings, might need to insert the updated model into the game @Adrian. The strings attaching the elevator will need to be lengthened and shortened as it goes up and down.

Also, how do I get the wrench?

@ArmoredBricks talk to the guy near the landing pads, he has the wrench, Also the tower is great I'm not sure at this stage it will be functioning I have put a platform at the top so the player has more walking space to develop some interaction up there. But it is great thank you it will be a great character story piece.

@Samino the minifigures are all classic style annimation and I am holding this off for a bit just to get the functionality working in version 2. BUT....... Can you take a look at animating some animals, because they do not have joints just use the bendy technique to make them move a little, I would be very interested in a dog or something just to see if it looks good and fits in. Remember to have the animation loop and do not walk to far just an idle state for now like sniffing and scratching. I will need it to be an FBX with imbedded animation.

Also team take your time with the vehicles I want them to be a big focus and they must all fit a minifigure on them.

@AdrianRayner Sure thing! I'll try and find some time to work on the dog. I'm working on a big monster truck/Jeep vehicle for the game. Should hopefully have that done to at some point.

@ArmoredBricks That is an awesome vehicle! I'm still working on mine. Just remember that the vehicle needs to be in two states (namely 'broken' and 'repaired').
