Until I create an official page in the Parts section, please request missing parts here.

I will try to add them quickly enough to the library. Alternatively, you are welcome to model them in your favourite CAD software and send them to me. See this post.

Ok guys, but if any of you had good pictures of those plates (taken perpendicularly from top) it would make my job much easier!

You can see very well the plate in LDD

Missing:

4347 http://rebrickable.com/parts/4347
3081cc01 http://rebrickable.com/parts/3081cc01

I would love to see the viking ship parts.

@Scrubs: How do you model the free form parts (e. g. 3947a http://rebrickable.com/parts/3947a, ship parts, etc.)?

I'll send you some pictures of the streets tonight, and some blacktron baseplate

@Erwin Parts like 3947a are a nightmare for me and pretty much impossible to make if I don't have the original. It would take me at least a day. Maybe 3D sculpting in Blender?

@Metallian The 4 photos you sent are perfect. I'll take a couple of hours tonight to add them.

Is there a possibility to use the draw mesh of such parts and to modify it in Blender? Might be a faster method than sculpting.

I made the 4 road plates today: 44342d1, 44343d1, 44336d1 and 44341d1

Please don't be offended if the parts you requested are not coming. I can only model a couple of parts a day! This is a huge task and when combined to decorations it is even more time consuming. for instance, a fully decorated minifigure (torso, head, legs) takes between 2 and 3 hours and about the same time for a complex part to model.

The way going forward will be to provide sufficient information/support so that (some) people can create their own decorations (or parts for the more motivated) that will be included in the library after a check.

I know that not everybody has skills or is motivated to do that and that why it will still be possible to request parts anyway 😉

I really need to setup this tracking page...

@Erwin If it is in Ldraw, it might be easier as I could use it as a starting point. It will still probably take a couple of hours to clean the mesh, etc.

I think part modeling should have priority now to make Mecabricks more popular. The best thing imho would be if there were some people doing the part modeling while Scrubs can maintain the website and maybe implement new features in Mecabricks.

Actually I'd like to help with modeling if there is an easy way to get digital geometry templates/samples of the parts that have "just" to be re-engineered. Many parts missing today are quite complex and heaps have free formed geometry. A mesh to start from would be really helpful I guess (like having a imported surface model in Solid Works that serves as template for your geometry). The only point is to become familiar with Blender in reasonable time...

If GIMP is viable for decoration creation, i'm all for helping with that!
