Hello,
I thought it would be a good idea to start a new topic to post the renderings of models built in mecabricks.
So here is my version of the Ecto-1 LEGO set:
Ghostbusters by mecabricks, on Flickr
This was the first time I used the Cycles renderer from Blender and the node editor. I really enjoyed doing it and I'm looking forward to improve my skills.
Nice one Zanna!
Cute and check this out:

Love it!

Sooo nice. LEGO is more.
virtualrepublic, have you seen?! Chris McVeigh is more!
Have fun with my last fun MOC, The Son of Man - Magritte (1964) 🎨
I want to re-interpretate some other paintings. What do you think? 😃
Do it, do it! I love this scene.
Thanks! Meanwhile I'm having fun with The Mystery Machine by Scrubs 😄
Another cool model - Lego TIE Fighter by CCruz123 🌌
Unfortunately, I noticed that some decorations are missing and some pieces are not positioned correctly 😱 ...
By the way, I think that the result is good 😃
Awesome. Benny "renderbombing" a Star Wars set is hilarious.
Everytime you say "Spaceship" you say "Benny!!" 😛
Hey, I'm specializing in Space themes! 😛
Darvensker by Jeff 🌔
Have you recognized these sets?
• Lego Moon Buggy (6801) by UmbraManis;
• Lego Moon Buggy (886) by UmbraManis;
• Lego Radar Truck (889 ) by RuMontag
😉
P.S.: unfortunately there are two missing things in this render: footprints and dust (raised by the movement), but I didn't found any fast way to add them..!
Second attempt using this extension: LRO Lola & MGS Mola img Importer. In other words you can import a Moon and Mars surface directly into Blender. 🌔
Lego Star Destroyer (4492) by UmbraManis
A first minifig render I made today:
Batman ( Black Suit )
Successful Lego Universe recreation! I did Sneezy Icewhisker http://legouniverse.wikia.com/wiki/Sneezy_Icewhisker
Hi gerkenz, nice settings, you did a great job!
Soon I think I'll try to write an easy tutorial where I'll show how to set other materials (i.e. cloth, wood...) 😃
UmbraManis, that minifigure is adorable... I want one too! 😍 I like the "cold style" of the render!
I'm glad to show you the render of the impressive MOC, Exo-Suit Test Hangar n°1, by SergentCule!
After 4 hours I started rendering it, a black out turned off power at home. #@#!? 💢 💢 😡 ...
Fortunately now it's finished, it took my computer working a whole day because it's bigger than my usual renders (1920x1080 pixels). This one is 3000x2000 pixels)!
Yes, great Zanna! Cool setup! Watching the Hires shows grains all over - it's not a sharp picture - how many samples did you use?
Love your work! 😃
Thank you gerkenz!
I used 1000 samples, the original render is less grainy, I added a little noise because it's more similar to a real photo (when you take a photo in an interior space you have to use higher ISO, which means more noise) 📷
Or just use a better lens! 😉
Yes - noise is the most bothersome thing if you're lens can't handle low light situations during taking photos. So I love to see crisp sharp rendered pictures. 😃 And you make it on purpose, oh no! 😄
Unfortunately I haven't got a very expensive equipment 😛
At the beginning (when I started to photograph) I was trying to avoid grain at all costs, but now I appreciate it 😉
AWESOME renders zanna! I wish I had half of the skill that you do.
