Flex Tool

In Minecraft, there is a Command that will place a layer of blocks to cover the distance between the two Coordinates that you entered. I am building a very big project, and duplicating every single block is taking a lot of time. Is there a tool that can do this? If yes, then I would love to know about it.
Thanks!

No, but you can simply duplicate a block by pressing d.

Yeah that's what I was doing, but even that is taking a long time. Thanks anyway.

Why did my message get deleted.

What were they?

Não sei como girar as peças!

Arrow keys

Hi! Is it possible to select a lot of pieces at the same time, to copy a construction for example?

Hi Santiago_1d, if you create the part that you need in a separate Workshop project, you can Import it, and it will be completely one piece. Then, when you press D to duplicate it, then the item that you imported will copy and become one entire piece. If you accidentally click on the grid and let go of the piece, go to the small box that shows all the pieces that you inserted and look for the item you imported. When you find the imported item, click on it and it will be selected as one entire piece.
Hope this helps!

In addition to AirCanada's advice, you can also use the Group function [J] or the first folder icon in the left sidebar. First, multi-select the pieces using [Ctrl] or use the select tool (arrow icon - first on the left sidebar). Then group them. Like AirCanada said, if you click on the group name in the Graph tab on the right, it will select the entire group. This also works for any assembly like a minifig upper or lower, which are pre-grouped. If you want the parts to stay locked when you click on any of them, you can do that too. Once your parts are grouped, you can lock them using the lock icon next to the group name in the Graph tab or by ticking the checkbox under the group name in the Object tab. So there are many ways of getting this done. Choose one that works for you.

Hi B1, thanks for the advice, and I really appreciate it. Question about this though. How do you add different pieces to a group. I'm making a MOC that has tons of Clone Troopers, and I want to find a way to make the ENTIRE Clone Trooper minifig one group.

This topic really deserves a video to do it justice, because there are so many intricacies in grouping objects. Here's a quick method using the Graph Tab

  • Select the parts (or groups) you want in a new group by clicking on their name in the Graph Tab.
  • Use [Shift] and/or [Ctrl] to get the correct collection of parts.
  • Hit [J] on the keyboard to group the parts
  • To stay organized, rename the group in the Object Tab directly below the Graph Tab

If you do it this way, you will retain the previous structure for the Upper.

You can also select the parts directly by clicking on them and holding [Ctrl] to select multiple parts before grouping them. If you do this with previously grouped parts, like the Upper, all of the parts will be moved to a new group, but the old group folders won't get deleted. If you open the old folders, they will be empty, because all of your parts are now in that new group. There is a way around this. If you lock the group first then selecting a part by clicking on it will select the group itself.

If you want to move a part (or group) around to another group, you can drag and drop them in the graph view.

If you are on a touchscreen, then none of the keyboard shortcuts will work. You need to use the Select Tool (top icon on the left sidebar) to multi-select your parts and the Group Tool (Folder with arrow pointing into it, 6th icon in the left sidebar) to group the parts. Again, if you want to keep your previous folder structure, lock your groups before you select a part. I don't think you can do the drag-and-drop on the touchscreen though.

Hopefully this is helpful.

Thank you B1!

Happy to help!

@scrubs my message was relating to air Canada not know how to duplicate so i responded and my message got deleted.

how do I increase the size of an object or is that possible???

I don't think that it's possible to increase the size. Then again, I'm not an expert on Mecabricks, so maybe it is possible and I just don't know how or something.
