Brick Adventure Game: Planet Quest
AdrianRayner started this discussion in Community

We need your help to bring an adventure game to life. We are looking for people that want to be involved in creating content for Planet Quest using MecaBricks.

Please take a look at the pictures at the link below to have an understanding of the look and feel of the game, plus a small gimps of the story.

We are looking for mad max thunderdome style town with isolated outposts and locations to fill the world, It's a rough junk almost steampunk planet with space traders, pirates, hidden danger and exciting characters.
Locations are small dwellings/huts, workshops, ship repair/refuel, markets etc. Lots of makeshift not perfect places that look like they have been made from scrap or ship parts, nothing big and complex at this stage. Also any land planet vehicles or smashed destroyed ones.

This is a ultra creative project that is not in line with normal brick builds, but I'm keen to see who wants to be involved, if we get enough support we can release a free playable version for the MecaBricks community.

Thank you
Adrian

Oooo...Awesome!

@ArmoredBricks Mind if I use your sigfig as the minifigure?

@Samino Sure, that would be awesome!

@ArmoredBricks Okay! I might not have a chance to do it today, I have a decoration to fix, a model for this game to finish, and I have to update my Bendy Minifigure asset.

Nice, you are making a moc for this! 😉

@ArmoredBricks Yep. I actually just finished it. I will be posting it with a render soon...

@ArmoredBricks I won't be able to add your sigfig to the scene since I do not have access to your model. It will just be a render with the vehicle.

I made my sigfig "Open in workshop" so you can use it now!

Here is the Oasis! This could be another save point or something:

Hi Team, some great models coming through and outstanding communication between you all. I'm doing a heap of work on the game to try and get a minimal viable product for you to play. It will only be a walk around and first level interaction with the characters but I am keen to get you all involved with feedback for it and your thourghts. I do have a specific game play, look and direction for the game to keep production fast, but am always open to your input. Thanks for the models I'll post pictures when I can.

Keep up the great work
Adrian 😃

I had an idea: Here is a picture below of my latest build, which is a modular booth or shop. The way it's built, you can put many of them together to make a long line, like a market, or just have each by itself. Anyone else can build more booths and shops that connect with the system so Adrian can make a whole market! 😃

(sorry the render looks a little funny, it's the first time I used backdrop)

@AdrianRayner Here is a model I made for the game. This could be a kind of house or abandoned shack.

Yes! I finally figured out the pictures! 😄

@Armored Bricks Here is a rendering for your Steampunk Speeder.

@Samino Thanks this is awesome! 😮 Sorry the fig wasn't available 😛

@ArmoredBricks No problem. I was really pressed for time yesterday, so even if the sigfig was available, I would not have had time to add it.

@Samino this position actually looks better without the fig anyway!

@Armored Bricks You are probably right.

Working on something a bit bigger now... 😉

@ArmoredBricks Ooh! Looking forward to it!

Hey y'all, guess what Scrubs fixed!
