Hello,
You can use http://imgur.com/ (no account required) and link your image in the forum.
It will be easier to help you when I'll see what you currently have.

Thanks,
Here it is:

In the render preview, everything is sharp like it should be.

This is on a linux system with a couple of Titan X gpus.

I think I know what is happening. It is applying a subdivision surface modifier which is not supported by the geometry exported from Mecabricks. Besides, if you want to use the round edge shader, you cannot use the GPU to render. OSL is only on CPU. It is slower but result looks way better.

Thanks! I disabled the subsurf modifier for Render and it fixed the issue.

I updated the template to revision 1.07

Many thanks for this update. And of course for the new loader - the speed difference is huge! No issue noticed so far.

Thank you Scrubs! I'll test it soon! ♥️

No worries.
I found a couple of little bugs in the workshop mainly around parts that are assemblies (e.g. torso). I'll fix that tonight. I cannot load models at my workplace anymore - zip files are blocked... I'll spend more time working then lol

ohhhh Fresnel 😄

Ooh! What shall I test it on? Hmm...

As Scrubs noticed I gave a try to the new template version with my "garden bridge" model and I saw a huge improvement with parts in shadow, especially for the transparents plates under the bridge. In my opinion it is even way better now !

Hi guys,
this is a fast comparison between templates 1.06 and 1.07 😉

Haha, I was thinking of testing it with that model! 😄 Good comparison.

I am not entirely satisfied of the reflection for solid material. I think I will rework that soon.

Ooh! Looks pretty good. I'll be sure to download the new template.

Also, I just upgraded to OSX 10.11, so I'll be messing around with PRman (Renderman) soon. Any suggestions?

I installed renderman for Blender (macos X.10) a little while ago to try it. It was working ok-ish (not as convenient as Cycles) but I couldn't commit enough time to it. Let me know how it goes for you. When you install it, make sure you install all the modules even the ones you don't need for maya etc. Otherwise you are not going to get mImage Tool which you need to do live visualisation. I spent hours looking for that!

Hey Scrubs (or anyone else), how would I change the rendering method to the original version? I prefer the spreading outward instead of left to right.

It's an easy change! Go to the render tab and scroll down to performance just change the setting under Tiles to Center.

Thanks UmbraManis! Um, could someone please tell me how to remove the cross hairs too? 😛

1.07 didn't live for too long... I posted version 1.08 today
I was really unhappy about some parameters and nodes therefore I thought it was a good idea to correct that quickly. I am pretty happy about the new transparent material too. Let see what you guys can do with it.
