If you use blender(download for free) and the free Mecabricks add-on you don't have to pay anything.

o thanks man can you check out my latest model its really cool the the go ninjago tuner car its almost done by the time you see this it will be finished

can i gave a free mecabricks gift card to pay for the shop to go shoping

@AngelV are you joking

So, when I go into render, I wanted a space background, so I changed the background from "Color" to "Image" and uploaded a jpeg file, and I checked the background box, went to render, but it never showed up. What do I do?

nevrmind. I tinkered around nd fixed it.

Hi, i can't export my files from mecabricks to blender without using Internet Explorer as a file saving type, I got a pc last week so i'm farely new to this, can anyone help me change this file type from Explorer so I can export it to blender?

edit:
I was also wondering if i'm just using the wrong version of blender, but I use the 1.90,1 update because I can't download aything else.

edit again: I found someone who had the same problem and they said I had to extract the files, then put it back into blender

Do you have to use money to render your model?

@RianStorm, you can make up to 10 free renders in a 24 hrs period but with some limitations regarding quality and settings.

See this page to see the differences between free and credit payed renders: https://www.mecabricks.com/en/credits

So how can I be offline when I am online and it's not letting me render?

@TheFoxPrince11, Obviously it's not you that is offline, it's the render farm that is offline and it will be for about two more days...

See this thread for more info, https://www.mecabricks.com/en/forum/topic/914/6

Btw, this has nothing to do with the Free Blender Add-on, this should have been posted in "Mecabricks Render Farm" category, but there are already some threads about it there and in bug reporting and help and tricks categories.

How do you do this on a cromebook

I can't install the Blender Lite into Blender no matter how, and I followed the instructions. Is my version updated or not?

@ZackArmstrong, Please specify what versions your are using of both Blender and Lite add-on. Latest revision of Lite 3.1.4 is compatible/optimized with Blender 2.90 according to the change log.

@ZackArmstrong I think I remember that in order to install the add on, you must first extract the file that you get from downloading. Do not attempt to install it from the .zip file you get, as it will not work. Next, go into Blender preferences, go into addons, press install, and locate the unzipped folder. Inside will be another .zip folder. That is the one you need to install. Select it and press Install. I apologise if I am just repeating what you already know and the problem is not the process I am describing, or am relaying the instructions in an incorrect or unclear way. I hope this helps, though.

Edit: If this doesn’t work, try installing a newer version of Blender, as Sealund said. If you’re using a version that is not 2.90, you may encounter some bugs.

I'm using blender lite 2.0.7 (free vertion) and blender 2.79b and the mecabricks matterials all show up as diffuse shaders. So I have to go through manully and set them up as principled shaders and it dosn't look like the pictures of the setup I've seen in the blender lite shop and it usetoo be setup in mecabrick matterials but now it dose not why is this?

Blender 2.79 hasn’t been supported for a long time and cannot work anymore with the collada files exported from the workshop. Blender 2.80 minimum.

I've used this website and it's free add-on in the past and am familiar with it, but I've ran into a problem when I wanted to use it earlier:
exporting a model from the website gives me a file with the extension .mbx but the add-on looks for the .zmbx extension and renaming it doesn't fix it (just gives an error, probably because the file corrupts from changing the extension)

I even downloaded the newest version of the add-on
is there a fix for this or is the entire system fucked right now?

I bet that you are using Safari. Make sure that in your preferences you do not allow Safari to automatically unzip archive files. zmbx is the zipped version mbx files.

Please do not jump to conclusion too quickly. There are thousands of people exporting files everyday and errors often come from the user not the platform 😉
