@Sealund there is no option to update when I click on my purchases

@ArmouredBricks I'm not sure where to get the latest download from, I just tried again and it gave me the same version (2.81)

Hi folks, Unfortunately for me I'm still stuck with Blender 2.79 running on my 9 year old MacBook.... (yes, I will at some point build a better PC) however, is there anyway I can get hold of the older version of the add-on, as the current 2.81 download keeps reporting errors and will not install. I have followed the correct install procedures, but I'm guessing 2.79 is no longer supported.

fingers crossed.....

Blender 2.79 is not supported anymore. Even if you had the older version it wouldn't work anymore as the collada files generated by mecabricks has been changed.

Ok @Scrubs, thanks for getting back. That explains that. My fault for having such an archaic system. I'll experiment exporting the files as .dae or .obj and manually apply materials etc. Cheers and what a fantastic thing Mecabricks is.

The Add on dosen´t load!
Ryzen 5
Asus 1060

@T3D
Care to elaborate? What doesn't load? How did you attempt to install the add-on? Any error messages? OS? Blender version? It's hard for us to come up with any help if we don't know anything about your issue.

(lemme just post it here) this is the problem when not having the 2.7's with me, blender 2.8 is more comfortable to use, but it crashes with very little things. I tried to upload a model on blender, scaled it down, and put it on textured, it crashes, and I don't know what to do!

I bet that you try to use eevee or material preview (which is eevee). Only Cycles is supported by the free version. Use the Solid mode in the viewport to set up your scene.

that might be what I was doing wrong, let me give that a try...

What is it "render"?

@limonchick Render means: In 3-D graphic design, rendering is the process of add shading, color and lamination to a 2-D or 3-D wireframe in order to create life-like images on a screen. Rendering may be done ahead of time (pre-rendering) or it can be done in on-the-fly in real time.

In simple: Basically making a 3D file more realistic looking, rather than the plain viewport that you make the model.
Does that help? If not, then do ask!

@WakandanGecko7, Thank you very much!

@limonchick Your welcome!

when i did the render it costs real money?

For online rendering, yes. It requires expensive hardware, custom software, maintenance and electrical power. For the Blender add-on, it happens on your computer so somehow yes as well. You had to buy your computer which is using some power while it is rendering.

Okay, but where can you pay on the renderings we make? I designed my minifigure, I rendered it and I will pay on what it costs to render minifigures, etc.

Scrubs pays for the renders, thats why there is a limit of 10 free renders a day.

@juanpablo there is a limit of 10 free renders per day with limited settings. To access more features (such as larger image resolution, more samples, scratches, etc.) you need to buy and use credits, which you can purchase here: https://www.mecabricks.com/en/credits

Help please? I have installed the latest version of mecabricks lite (3.0.5) and am running blender 2.82. Whenever I try to import a .zmbx file, I get an error. How do I resolve this?

@Krejuski You didn't install the latest version. This code can only be produced by older versions up to 2.0.8b1
