OK thanks, thanks for your help !

Hello,

I can't import new zmbx files exported from mecabricks in blender, I've an error message on blender saying :

Traceback (most recent call last):
File "C:UsersguiguAppDataRoamingBlender FoundationBlender2.81scriptsaddonsmecabricks__init__.py", line 285, in execute
return import_mecabricks (OOOO0OO0OO0OOOO0O ,O0OO0OO0O000O0000 ,OOOO0OO0OO0OOOO0O .filepath )#line:716

Problem solved by removing previous add on et reinstalling the new version

Add-on updated. See log here

Does this use the ABS plastic materials at all or is it your own custom material? I always thought they were tied together for some reason...Just wondering if I need the ABS materials anymore (I've always found them quite crashy)

in blender you can import collada files with bpy.ops.wm.collada_import(). How would I go about importing a .zmbx Mecabricks file in blender

@heliothryx
You download the free add-on, install it, then use File→Import→Mecabricks

@NGCHunter2
Thank you, I am aware that is how you normally import a file and have that functioning. What I am looking for is a way to import a .zmbx file pythonically in the scripting window in blender.

I just tried importing a model into blender with the blender lite add on for the first time, but the transparent pieces lost their transparency and the printed pieces didn't show their decorations. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Not too sure how much you know about Blender but final materials only appear in viewport render mode, not solid which is the default mode.

Thanks, and you're right that I know nothing about blender, so I apologize in advance if I ask any more dumb questions.

How do I add it to the steam version?

Hi, I purchased advanced add on the shop, and it worked well on my Blender 2.80. but, I have a problem using it on the other version like 2.82!
Is there anything I can do to solve the problem?

I have Blender 2.82 and installed mecabrick blender lite. But I am not getting any import option for mecabricks

I am having the same problem as gman13579 - I have blender 2.82 and installed mecabrick lite, but do not get an option to import anything from mecabrick (also does not come up in the addon screen to even check the box to use it)

@gman13579
@SydneyCreates
Works fine on my end; if it doesn't show up in your add-on list, may I ask you which .zip you tried to install? "Blender Lite.zip" or "mecabricks lite.zip"?

It says Blender Lite.zip
I just went to the shop here and got the free version

***Edit im stupid, I was trying to upload the whole zip file not the zip file in the zip file

@SydneyCreates
Alright, as I thought; you have to unpack "Blender Lite.zip" and use the "mecabricks lite.zip" inside it. Glad you got it to work, have fun rendering! 😄

Is there a way to get the old version of the addon since 2.79 performs well for me?
