Anyone try the new Blender v2.79 release yet?

What do I need to get the script to work on Blender v2.79? I had to get a new hard drive and just redownloaded the script and I do not recall how to use the script, aka I open the .blend and there is no python script to run ... What I am trying to say is the newer version of the advanced script does not have any python in it for me to run on any version of blender?? I dont get what is wrong ..

Hello, This is now an add-on. Please read the PDF included in the package. Re-download if necessary.

Updated the Lite Addon to 2.0.6
Blender 2.79 is now required. The template shall improve the overall quality and speed of the renders even for new comers as this is set up to use the denoiser and filmic.

i want to know how to add a background

How do I bring a mecabricks model into blender? I cant seem to figure it out

Hi Srcubs, How can I import 2nd or more mecabricks' models to the template without error message?

If you have installed the last version of the add-on you shall be able to import as many models as you wish in the same scene.

Thank you. It works.

I found the problem. I imported a model from an USB drive, when I imported another model from local hard drive but without that USB drive, then the blender would fail.

I cannot even render without that USB drive.

How to rewrite the relation to local file and folder?

You can pack all the external resources such as image files in the .blend file
File > External Data > Automatically Pack Into .blend

Thank you. That's what I was looking for.

Small update 2.0.7 to support new materials.

Is there a tutorial on doing Blender renders somewhere?

Hi, I just started using blender. In your video, you made a point of clicking "Run script" before you render. However, there is no run script button. How can I make the render work?

EDIT: I figured out how. For anyone else, you need to follow instructions in PDF with Blender Lite and import to blender as mecabricks.dae NOT collada.dae

As written in bold letters in the youtube video description:
THIS TUTORIAL IS MOSTLY OUTDATED

For people using the Blender daily build, I made a new version that takes advantage of the new features not available in the official build 2.78b.
Re-download the add-on and install version 2.0.8b1

  • GPU+CPU rendering
  • Memory optimisation
  • Reworked Materials

Thanks Scrubs, will you update the blender advanced add-on too?

In the daily build page, i see blender 2.8 only, you talk about 2.0.8b1 ??

The add-on does not work with blender 2.8. Only with blender 2.79.
2.0.8b1 is the version of my add-on. It has nothing to do with blender numbering. This package works with the daily build for 2.79 of Blender not the official 2.79b

I will update the advanced version later as it is way more complex.
