Hello,
I thought it would be a good idea to start a new topic to post the renderings of models built in mecabricks.
So here is my version of the Ecto-1 LEGO set:
Ghostbusters by mecabricks, on Flickr
This was the first time I used the Cycles renderer from Blender and the node editor. I really enjoyed doing it and I'm looking forward to improve my skills.
Looks good gerkenz!
@zanna : Could you explain how you import the moon / mars surface into Blender ?
I understand how the script works, but I don't know how the images and the LBL files work, and which ones should I download (there are so many of them !).
Jeff, I'll do it in the next weeks 😉
Great, thank you zanna ! 😄
😃
I'm very happy to show you this re-creation of Hand With Reflecting Sphere 😊 🎉
Great Idea. Maybe you should try to push it closer to the original when you compare the little details. *:-)
Thanks! I know, there are a lot of little differences... 😉
Something easier this time: Drawing Hands (194😎 by M. C. Escher 😃
I love love love it. Very creative adaption of Escher art.
wow. very cool!
Yeah, cool!
No worries 😃 It's nice to see what people are able to achieve whether they are newcomers or experienced.
Thanks Scrubs for the Blender import script. I still have to dive into Blender (I'm used to C4D), but it's certainly a better starting point than messing around with POV-Ray...
Very nice wlange 😄
Everyone started from this point 😉
Now I even remember the hardware toys I once had:

I feel like crying! 😦
Ok, let's rebuild this stuff 😉
wlange ... congrats. Nice and clean render. I love the progress of MECABRICKS since SCRUBS added the render capabilities.
Oh wow, that's an incredible render! 😄
I love the reflection with EVE in its eyes!
wlange sent me the files with decorations to complete Wall-E in mecabricks. Hopefully I'll find the time today to add them as well as the missing part.
Really good render anyway.
