@NathatG428: There is no way to recolor a decal in the workshop, but I suppose you could just search up the piece without the decals and replace the decorated piece with the blank one.

Hey, can someone explain me how to create a folder/group of many bricks, it can be really nice ! thank you

bro please help i closed the graph panel idk how cant use it anymore what do i do

@Wassilei Use "B" to select multiple pieces and then click "J"

It'd be nice to have customizable shortcuts, if possible!

Working a lot with Blender, for example, I find the move/pan/rotate default shortcuts here a little bit uncomfortable for myself, other than that, it's excellent! I'm so happy that I just discovered this awesome website and tool!

how do you make custom parts or images on bricks (like the minifigs)

I just want to say thanks for a lovely program, it's so user friendly and by far the most intuitive I've tried. Finishing up my first MOC, and it's been a very enjoyable experience.

Is there a way to set an image from my computer as a background in the workshop during building? For example, I would like to use a blueprint .jpeg image as a background during a build to work on a scale model and be able to line it up directly against the blueprint. I've been toggling between the orthographic and regular view a lot because it's very helpful for scale models. Being able to also set an image as the background during building would be super

is there a way to measure your build in the workshop? on very large builds, it is almost impossible to count stud-for-stud how large a build is.

@Johnjimbob-

You cannot set an image as a background in the build space of the workshop. It's been suggested before, but will not be in the current version of Mecabricks.

@FerrusManus-

There is no tool that you can use for measurements, so you will need to be creative and make your own. If your build is extremely big, you could measure it in terms of baseplates. I think you could drop a baseplate (or other reference part), duplicate it and set the new one to a different color and set it edge-to-edge with the first. Now you can multi-select these and duplicate them. Each time you do this, you'll double the size of your "ruler." With the alternating colors, you should be able to count the plates easier.

Hope this helps a few people.

@B1Trash
True. There is no measure tool.

Does anybody know how to add a background?

@Hestorking-

What are you trying to add a background to?

My models such as ships 😃

How do I customize a brick?

Here ya go:

Just be aware that you won't be able to decorate some of the bow and stern pieces.

Thanks!
