Generally speaking, here is how it's done:

  1. Download the XML file for your model https://www.mecabricks.com/en/forum/topic/3250
  2. Inside the ZIP file look for an XML file with " - BL" at the end of it e.g. "Your Model Name - BL.xml"
  3. Open the file and copy the contents to your clipboard
  4. Go to Bricklink's wanted list https://www.bricklink.com/v2/wanted/upload.page?utm_content😒ubnav
  5. Chose the "Upload BrickLink XML format" option
  6. Paste the copied contents into the box labled "Copy and paste here"
  7. Click the blue "Proceed to verify items ->" button

If you run into errors, this may be of use:

Is there a way to select something and mirror it? it would be helpful so you don't have to rearrange everything when you try to make say a hand out of technic and want the other hand the same way but mirrored. so it would be big help for a lot of people

oops posted twice lol

how do i change color of a piece

Click on the piece. It should be highlighted red. Then click on the desired color in the Materials color palette on the bottom right. If you hover over a color, you will see a preview of that color on the piece. When you move your mouse away, it will turn highlighted red again. Once you click on a color, your chosen piece will change to the new color. If you can't see the Materials color palette, then try fiddling with your browser zoom settings... usually 100% zoom will work.

New pieces will default to whatever color is active on the color palette. Decorated parts (stickered and printed parts) will initially be their own default color (if one was set). But you can change the underlying "plastic" color of any part... with one exception. Decorations will cover the plastic. If you have a decoration that covers the entire part (there are a few of these), then you will not see the material change... You will have actually changed the part color, but because the decoration image essentially wraps the entire piece, you won't see a change. Generally, this is not an issue, but be aware that some older parts and some custom parts can have decorations that essentially end up covering the entire part.

For some reason, the right panels aren't showing up. Any idea why?

Can you rotate in all three directions with a mac kayboard? Because I don't have home/end keys, I'm only currently able to rotate two ways.

could you have a shortcut using wasd to move your camera and using number keys to move an item or a group of items

may you add a way to use keyboard to move pieces?

just asking

@Starter: They exist, sir
8 or 2 - translate along Z axis by one increment
4 or 6 - translate along X axis by one increment
Page up or Page down - Translate along Y axis by one increment

@B1Trash I tried that out and while Command causes all sorts of issues because command + left is also the command for go back, function (fn) left does in fact do the rotation.

@queen_mac That is not a Mac issue (Mecabricks is developed on Mac) but an extended keyboard issue. These days apple tend to ship small keyboards with no numpad and not just on laptop.

The command key works properly as well as default browser actions are prevented to trigger when required.

How to get back to your saved project

Open the workshop. Then choose File -> Open (or your language equivalent).

So if i were to make a model with repative objects and i wanted to change all the objects at once by editing only one of the objects how would i do that

is there a way to change the color of the decals instead of just the base piece

is therea way to recolor or delete decals instead of just the base piece
