How reliable are online random roulette selection tools?
jediyo a commencé cette discussion dans General Discussion

Hello everyone.

I recently used a web-based tool that allows users to enter options and spin a wheel to randomly select one. It seems useful for decision making, games, and classroom activities, but I am curious about how truly random the results are.

Does it rely on a cryptographic random function or simple pseudo-random JavaScript logic? Also, are there any privacy concerns when inputting custom options? Has anyone tested its fairness or compared it with similar tools for consistency and reliability in real-world scenarios?

Would appreciate detailed experiences or technical explanations from users here.

Most web based spin wheel tools use JavaScript's Math.random() which is pseudo-random, not cryptographic. It is perfectly fair for casual use like classrooms and games but not suitable for anything high stakes like legal lotteries.
For privacy, using a trusted ruleta digital ensures most basic tools process entries locally in your browser so your data never leaves your device. However tools with save or share features may sync to their servers so avoid entering sensitive information just to be safe.
For everyday decision making these tools are reliable and consistent enough. Stick to well known reputable platforms and you will have no issues.
