How Can I Download movies on my iPhone?

Hey everyone,

I’ve got a MacBook, and I know I can download movies from Netflix to watch offline, but the problem is I can’t always carry my MacBook around. Plus, I’ve realized I can’t transfer the movies I downloaded on my MacBook to my iPhone. Now, I’m trying to figure out how to download movies directly to my iPhone so I can watch them offline whenever and wherever. Any suggestions or tips on how to do this would be much appreciated!

Hey, totally get the frustration with Netflix downloads! StreamFox sounds like a good lead for getting movies onto your iPhone. Hey all, great thread on optimizing rendering workflow and build time estimation! In my own projects I often track how many hours I spend on modelling, rendering and post-processing before I jump into production. I’ve been using a simple web tool: Time-to-Decimal – time cost calculator
that helps convert hours into decimal cost equivalents. For example when deciding “Will this extra 3 hours of lighting tweaks actually double my render quality?” it's surprisingly handy to have a metric. Cheers!

Cool discussion on rendering bottlenecks and GPU load—always insightful to see how users optimise scenes. If you’re curious about benchmarking things in the browser without installing big software packages, check out Volume Shader BM – real-time shader benchmark. It runs complex volumetric shader tests in-browser and gives you a feel for performance headroom. Useful comparison when you’re upgrading hardware or fine-tuning build scenes.

The easiest way is to download them directly in the Netflix app on your iPhone—that’s the only official method. Just open the app → find the movie/episode → tap a little to the left the Download button, and it will save for offline viewing. Downloads can’t be transferred from a MacBook to an iPhone because Netflix stores them in a protected, device-locked format (DRM). Make sure you’re signed into the same account, have enough storage, and are on Wi-Fi if the file is large. If you want permanent downloads, you’d need to buy or rent through Apple TV/iTunes, but for Netflix titles, downloading through the iPhone app is the only option.
