Less strict rendering rules
MRBRICKMASTER a commencé cette discussion dans Suggestions and Ideas

there should be less strict rendering rules. I'm getting tired of spending time building and rendering an image just for it to be deleted for no reason. As far as I know, I have been reading and following the rules. I have visited the rules a lot. The rules are too strict for no reason. Images without any lego should be taken down, or inappropriate images may also be taken down. Please I'm begging you as a creator and a fan of this website to reconsider the rules for renders. Thank you for your time.

Hi-

First let me say that I am not the guy who decides what stays and what doesn't... so I can't tell you 100% why your renders are being taken down. However I did take a look at the three renders you have posted right now (snow day and freddy's room) and I would be willing to bet that they will disappear as well. Almost every post I have seen where people's renders are removed have 960x540 pixel images. That is the resolution of your current renders as well. Here is the line in the rules that addresses this:

Image resolution shall be high enough to avoid resizing degradation when displayed in Mecabricks. 1920x1080 is a good starting point.

In fact, the very first render I posted was taken down due to this. I think one of the reasons that Scrubs has set a certain level of standard for the render uploads because images take up a large amount of storage space and storage space takes money to maintain. Scrubs only has these rules for images that he is providing the hosting services here on Mecabricks.

If your renders are taken down, you can still post them with your model in the description or in the comments. The big difference is that you will be responsible for uploading the image to a different platform and then you would provide a link to that image. The good news is that there are many free hosting services like flickr, imgbb and imgur. Choose a service, upload your images and then copy the BBCode links to the description of your model. Each service is different, but a quick Google search should give you instructions to find the BBCode links.

If you need more help with this, ask.

You are literally a life saver, i would have never thought of this thanks so much. and thanks for dealing with my complaining 😃
