(Well… I finally created a forum. There was no other place to geek out over cinema, so I thought I might make a forum for it. 😉)
One word: MOVIES.
Two more words: DISCUSS THEM.
Three more words: AND HAVE FUN.
THE RULES: (Please follow them…)
OPTIONAL: SOME DISCUSSION QUESTIONS! (With my answers given as examples!)
. What are your favorite movies? Geek out about them!
(Mine are Terminator 2: Judgement Day, Interstellar and The Matrix.)
. Are there any movies you hate? Complain about them!
(I detest The Star Wars Holiday Special, The Last Airbender and Cats.)
. Do you have a favorite actor, actress or director?
(Johnny Depp, Helena Bonham Carter, and Tim Burton.)
. Do you have a favorite genre of film?
(I like many, but probably Sci-Fi!)
. Is there a specific movie scene that you enjoyed/moved you?
(Bing-Bong’s death from Inside Out made me tear up.)
. (Oddly specific) Are there any films that you wish would get turned into a LEGO theme?
(DreamWorks sets would be great, especially HtTYD or Kung Fu Panda!)
. Have you seen any good movies lately? Recommend them!
(Well…Edge of Tomorrow, obviously. XD)
I generally like the latest Marvel movies, but feel like there have been too many to keep up with (In this last year).
And I was really disappointed Hawkeye...
The second world or whatever completely ruined the idea of the MCU. Plus, it just wasn’t a high quality movie.
funny how the best episodes of Book of Boba Fett didn't even have Boba in them...
@LM, I personally don't understand how including a separate world/dimension purposefully hidden from the rest of the MCU is any different from the Mirror Dimension in Dr. Strange, or them bringing in the Multiverse.
@Simply, those are some of the best Star Wars recently; however, I wouldn't call them part of TBoBF
@Pyro- It wasn’t just that, it just wasn’t a very well written movie.
I'd love to see how you describe it as a bad film. Personally, I found it to be enjoyable. Not exactly earth-shatteringly thought-provoking, but still fun to watch and a good escape from modern cinema. '
I won't die on this hill, but I honestly thought it felt more like a Phase 1 movie. Which is good. If you think about it, Marvel needs to hit reset at least a little bit and introduce new characters.
Most of the new MCU stuff is spectacular I mean there were parts of Eternals and FatWS that wasn’t great. I am REALLY exited for MoM (Multiverse of Madness)!
MoM is gonna be insane! Idk why I didn’t like Shang-Chi. It might’ve been the fact that it was introducing new characters. Idk, I don’t think it had the greates storyline or actors as well.
On Shang Chi: I liked it a lot. found it to be a fun and entertaining movie, with well-choreographed and good acting.
(Agreeing with @Pyro) it seemed like a phase one movie; introducing a protagonist and giving them a story that can be
understood without seeing the other movies.
And I actually liked FatWS...
It was decent I guess.
You don't have to feel obligated to like something 😉
man, i feel falcon and the inter soldier is kinda underrated, everybody talks about wandavision, loki and the other shows but i don't see people talking about fatws.
LM - I don’t really understand your point of view… But I respect it. 😁
FORGE - IKR?!?! Everyone looooves Hawkeye so much. It’s probably the worst Marvel show; the plot makes zero sense at all.
BAB - It wasn’t that good, TBH… Loki and WandaVision were worlds ahead of most of the MOVIES Marvel makes.
fatws is a romantic comedy about 2 guys who need to put aside they're differences to build a boat while learning more about each other and themselves as they go on, oh yeah also captain America's shield is something
-_- Dude…
ok ok fine, ill stop joking around
but it is true that marvel's 2021 projects weren't that good (except for wandavision and NWH) but with the hype centered around moon knight and sam rami directing Multiverse of madness it doesn't look marvel's coming short this year
Yeah, let’s just appreciate the fact that Marvel’s made almost 30 movies, and the majority of them are great.
let me just say it
morbius is gonna suck
Yeah, I’m not super interested in Mobius, either…
maybe its gonna suck in an enjoyable way, who know ?
