Where we discuss good books, occasionally read books and series as a group and other stuff I guess.

So, what's your opinion on the Hobbit so far. I couldn't make it past the part where the dwarves (can't think of a more polite word) had found the cavern of their elders. And were stumbling out of it.
That's what they are. I finished the book a while ago, 2nd or 3rd. It's a really good book.
I agree. Though I just can't get into it personally.
WHERE HAS THIS FORUM BEEN ALL MY LIFE
YEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSS
I like the hobbit! I think, like many books, there were some parts hard to get through, but just make yourself read it, and it's a really funny book, with a good story, and a really good ending. At least there's not as many hard parts as the Lord of the Rings. That was a harder series to get through for me. I was on the Two Towers for like a year and a half.
Should we have a book we read every month. Or just talk about random books?
BOOKS I LOVE
Part One
Talking about random books sounds good!
We could read a book, (that sounds SO fun) but maybe less than once a month, cause some people read slower, and some people (like me, unfortunately) don't have a lot of time.
Wow, I haven't read most of these. I usually don't read realistic fiction.
My Favorite Books (Or Series) Are:
I'm not gonna write mine down right now cuz I don't have the time but I was thinking we could read a book every month or so, get a couple chapters done per week.
I've read Wonder (IT WAS AMAZING), and I've actually read Percy Jackson and the Olympians AND Heroes of Olympus (the companion series) and the two spin-off books. I used to love them, but in Heroes of Olympus it started celebrating things I don't believe in. Also, every time I reread them, I found more things I didn't like about the style of his writing, and it made me appreciate authors like Eoin Colfer and John Flanagan better.
Yeah, I don't love Riordan, lot's of people do but He's not my favorite. What should the first book we read be?
We could read skyward, it's kind of long though
any other ideas?
Also, Tallgirl, do you want to ask slimmy if he wants to join this, we need to get a few more people.
Sure! He loves to read too. Our whole family does! Too bad my sister's account isn't verified.
I had a book I wanted to read, but I can't remember what it is now... 😁
I'll get back to you later when I think of it.
Yeah my family is a reading family too, we don't really play very many video games although my younger brother does.
Hello everyone, just finished school. 1. I Agree, Rick Riordan just falls apart over time, his writing repeats the same story arc. 2. My Ideas are, Foundation (Isacc Asimov), An Imperial Affliction (Peter Van Houten), Turtles All The Way Down (John Green). I haven't read these books, so I'm just suggesting.
Nice, we should look into those. I think we should each propose a book and then vote.
