Although I hesitate to use the term Christian, as it means “Christ-like”, and I am nowhere near Christ, I would love to join! I saw some of the earlier conversations in this forum, and I, like all my siblings, have a name from the Bible as well as many of you on here. Also, I have seen ever Kendrick Brother movie, and own all of them on disk except for the newest one (the running one, I forget the name of it). Who else is excited for the new edition of Courageous?

Also, for anyone curious where I live, I live in the Southeast, about an hour and a half from the sea. I live in the middle of nowhere. If you don’t believe me, ask one of our traffic lights. Oh, wait, that’s right, we don’t have any! Maybe you could ask our sheriff or his one deputy (I’ve nicknamed them Barney and Andy, obviously!), and they will confirm how tiny our town is. The local mall is actually a Dollar General, and we have zero restaurants in our city. That about sums up where I live! Also, my immediate family (siblings and parents) make up more than 1% the town’s population!

It is a name I chose a while back, because “Sir Christian The Seventh” has a nice ring to it! I love the name Christian, not just for the connotations, but also because it sounds cool! Also, seven is the number of perfection, so, it made sense!

It's fine to use the word Christian to describe yourself, as long as you're a Christian. 😉

@SnapStudio, it means “Christ-Like”. I hesitate to use the term for the same reason I would never buy WWJD bumper stickers. If I do anything un-Christian-like, how is that as a representative of Christ, who I am supposedly like. I may be a Christian, but I still sin, much more often than I like. I don’t want people to see me sin, and say “That’s Christ-like? Count me out!”

Good point, SC7. That's why we have to be careful to show Christ in everything we do, even the tiny things.

I don't care if this doesn't seem like an important prayer request, I'm happy about anyone who wants to pray with me. I'm really upset. My cat is missing. She doesn't have good teeth or reflexes, she's not good at defending herself, and she's my favorite. We are out in the country. One chicken has gone missing, the rooster died possibly from stress resulting from fighting off a predator, and the farm down the road lets a fox family make a nest under their shed every year- with people who have animals all around them. There are foxes right now. Notch is not supposed to be out all night, but she was, and we've looked all around our land and in the ditches along the road and we can't find her. Every other time she has accidently stayed out all night she will always be waiting on the front porch in the morning. I'm scared. She is probably dead, but I want to hope anyways. I don't care if this is silly. Please pray with me for peace or for God to help us find where she is.

Some family friends of ours took care of a bunch of dogs, and we’d go on hikes with them all the time. One of their dogs ran away, and was found later in the river. 😦 I hope your cat’s safe and well, but the point I was trying to make is that animals are still kind of family members, and there’s no reason why you can’t be sad. 😉

Thank you so much. Mom had a dog when she was younger, and one time her mom (my nana) let the dog out but forgot to bring her back in. She was practically blind and deaf, so she got lost. After four days, mom's friend's dad found the dog wandering along the highway, far away from home. She was brought back and mom got to have one more month with her before she put her down. So I'm still hoping. Maybe someone found her, or maybe she's just lost.
