taking apart the set ?

i wanna know if there is a way of taking apart a set but i dont wanna just end up doing it by piece by piece i will build it piece by piece but cant if its already been built , so just asking if i need to download the inventory but how do i find the pieces/ put in the inventory ?

You may find the set part list in brickset, and find the part you want.
Then just type the design code to find the part, but some of the parts may be missing, you may ask for them in the forum: https://www.mecabricks.com/en/forum/topic/50
