A similar situation has been happening to me where the render is awaiting. No matter the size, it just won't complete the render. It's like eternal waiting.

These 2 issues are completely unrelated. The original one is about the viewport, not rendering. You know you have a status that indicates at which stage your render is. That would be the minimum to let us know what it is otherwise we cannot do anything. Please open a new thread if you feel you need to get more information about this.
