I really like it! This will make animations much easier as well once the capability is eventually added 😃

That is the main purpose for it.

I think you have to make a command (Numpad:0) like in blender

Hi Scrubs,

First of all: thanks for keeping Mecabricks an ever-evolving great piece of kit. It has given me a lot of pleasure. The camera update leaves me confused though. My favorite way to produce images is by adding a Lego build to a 2D-background, as if they were part of the setting. Thanks to the shadow catcher floor (great!) that actually works (see examples below). All I had to do was to position the Lego on the right spot.

But with the addition of the camera in the design part, I believe I can no longer move the Lego in the 3D rendering part (or am I mistaken?). Result is that I have to go back and forth between the two parts to correctly position the Lego.

My question: is there a way to make this easier? An option to use the old version (with locking the camera to the view in the 3D rendering part springs to mind, or the ability to see the background in the design part (as part of the camera viewpoint insert?). Or is there a way that I am not aware of?

Thanks for your reply!

Here are some examples of what I would like to do:

Yes, I understand what you mean. That is currently not possible as I move some of the old hacky options from the render mode to the 3D design where it shall have been from the start. The most likely temporary solution until image plane objects are added will be an options to see the background in the camera preview insert.

Thanks for the reply!
