I can't seem to color anything, like the side bar isn't working, can anyone help?

It seems to be just a bug with the workshop. I get it too. The only thing you can do (that I’ve found) is to wait it out.
It's not a bug, you have to set your zoom to 100%.
Try setting your zoom to 100%.
