Rendering Section Rules

Mecabricks is not an image sharing platform. Each artwork posted shall be carefully crafted and well composed. The purpose of this section is to showcase your best work only. Always favour quality over quantity.

Acceptable Entry Content

  • You must be the original creator of all images you submit. You may not submit an image made by, or on behalf of, someone else unless you have the authorization.
  • When using a background image, ensure that you have the appropriate rights. For instance, images from Google Image may be subject to copyright.
  • Image can only be posted once. If it is relevant to multiple models, carefully choose one only.

Entry Quality Standards

  • Image shall be computer generated using Mecabricks online render mode or any other third party 3D software like Blender. Screenshots from the Mecabricks workshop are not allowed.
  • Image background shall not be transparent.
  • Image shall bring something special to the 3D model.
  • Image shall be related to the model it is posted in.
  • Image shall not depict minifigures only unless there is something special that shall be explained. Adding a couple of bricks in the background is not considered a waiver.
  • Image resolution shall be greater than or equal to 1920x1080.

Moderation

  • Any images not following the rules will be deleted without any warnings.
  • Images do not disappear. If a render has been taken down by an admin do not post it again.

External services

To showcase images not following the Mecabricks rules for the render section, you have the possibility of using external hosting services like imgur.com which doesn't require any account. Upload your image and copy and paste the BBCode provided in a Mecabricks comment. It shall look like the following:

Speaking of noise, how do you noticeably reduce noise with the basic Rendering tools?

I made a render for my sector 17 model, and the render was taken down. Was there a reason for that?

Probably.

how do I hide my lamps and lights but to where the light from them is still visible?

I am very confused, as my render was taken down despite following all the guide lines. It was not inappropriate.
Could someone please explain why?

Greetings,

Am I allowed to render someone else's model? If so, how am I able to do this?

Thank you in advance!

Cheers,
Sir Brickatroyd

Sure you can! 😄
Maybe watch some tutorials.

I followed all these rules but all of my renders get taken down. Why???

You obviously you didn't otherwise they would still be up.

hewp the render is yet AGAIN not working- the render button is light gray and can't be clicked

Hello!

Sometimes, the rendering machine (which is an actual physical machine) is undergoing maintenance for a while.

Also, your profile is locked since it has dashes. Maybe changing it to an underscore helps. If I can see the render in question, I can evaluate what is wrong.

actuallly I don't have a profile pic, so no problem there. I should probably get one though.

No; I meant your username. Sorry.

o ok.

i want to say, im not pleased with how they delete my pictures

If you can show me the renders in question, maybe I can tell you why they were deleted, along with some help. I'm not that pleased either but life still works.

okay i'll repost em and show you

It is slightly grainy but I like the background. The minifigure could be placed somewhere else for the render, and the camera can be centered more.

Okay, you can remove the render now.

plus i tried to make the original minifigure textures from lego life on mars but Xforce198 said that they are not good enough 😦 i was upset, outraged, distraught, angry, depressed and desperate. i feel like that i just don't know what to do anymore
