Typo on How to model a new part page

There's a typo on "how to model a new part page" https://www.mecabricks.com/en/forum/topic/15

It says:

"Once the part is modelled, the next step is to alter the outside dimensions so that there will be a gap between the parts when they will be assembled:

-0.04 for vertical surfaces
-0.02 for horizontal surfaces"

The words vertical and horizontal should be swapped around.

Then dumb question. I've loaded some of the sample parts into Blender 2.8. I note that the Stud height is 1.82mm. Shouldn't the height be 1.8mm? The -0.02mm is taken away from the bottom of the mesh the way I read your diagrams. The top part of the mesh including the stud doesn't change.

Cheers from Feilding New Zealand 😃

This post has been written years an years ago and is not really clear. You shall shave 0.02 at the bottom and at the top. For a plate with the baseline at 0mm, the bottom vertices are moved from 0 to 0.02mm and the top ones from 3.2mm to 3.18mm. Therefore the gap between 2 plates stacked up will be 0.04mm. The top of the stud is not altered and would remain at 5mm for the plate example.

Thanks. This helps me understand things better.
