Where is the pattlete in the workshop, how do i change colors, and how can i rotate things

If you can't see the colors immediately, make sure your zoom is set to 100%! 😃

I only want to change the colour for one brick but it keeps changing all of the bricks to that colour. How do I only change one brick's colour?
