'Renderings Selection'
Gideon26 a commencé cette discussion dans Suggestions and Ideas

Since the introduction of the online render in the workshop feature, I've noticed a trend in the 'Renderings' library. There are way more renders. Which is awesome cause it means that Mecabricks is being put to good use. But I've also noticed that renders aren't as professional as they used to be and you'll see that there's a lot of random stuff that in my opinion doesn't represent digital LEGOs very well. I'm not trying to be rude, and insult people who upload them. I think its great they are giving a hand at rendering, I gave up on trying to figure it out. 😛 I want to encourage them to keep at it, they are doing fantastic. Now my suggestion to fix this flood of renders is to make a "Selection" for renders. Like there is for models. Of course, there would still be a 'Renderings' page where you could see ALL the renders, just like 'All Models'. What do yall think? Please feel free to speak your mind and critic me. 😄

I totally agree with you! This is something I would be very interested in seeing added to Mecabricks.

Personally, I'd cast my vote against this (at least in this form) due to the unfortunate possibility that perfectly good renders that folks spent a lot of time on might get neglected. This already happens with models now and again, but renders have been immune thus far. But hey, just my opinion. Perhaps to solve that issue it could be more that all renders that do not have the little Mecabricks (free) render farm watermark get to go to the homepage, and only the coolest free render farm images get to go as well? Although that kind of goes against the whole point of the render farm in the first place...

This is always a hard one. Sorting would have to be made manually with the risk of missing good images. Currently not all images make it to the homepage anyway. If someone posts multiple pictures of the same model, only the last one is selected. That is working well but doesn't completely solves the issue.
