Can we have any active piece follow your cursor on screen and autosnap to any near by studs like LDD does? That should be the default option. For special cases or complex positioning of pieces we could turn that off and move pieces like we do now. But 90% of the time autosnap and having the piece automatically follow the mouse would save SO much time building.

I agree, this is on top on my "wish-list" as well 😃
I guess it's pretty hard to solve though, otherwise it should already be in place?

Mecabricks is using the snap point system to align pieces easily. This is different from how LDD approaches it however once you know how to use the tool, it is really quick.
Keep your finger above the S key.
