Getting a Lego design into a more widely known format? IGS? SLDPRT? etc?

So, the 42048 kit kind of resembles a formula style racecar some friends of mine and I built. Using the parts that we designed, I think I can 3D print a kind of Lego version of those that will snap to the 42048 kit. I'm having trouble figuring out how to get a solid model of the Lego pieces that I can use to mix and match reality and the Lego design.

It seems that the export ability in the workshop will allow an STL file at least, but I don't think an STL alone will let me figure this out.

For 3D printing, STL is perfect. You will just need to make sure that the model is water tight but it shall not be too hard.
IGS or SLDPRT (solidworks) are parametric 3D formats. This is not possible to convert Mecabricks models (non parametric) to a parametric format for obvious reasons.

3D printing is the end result. I have to turn the body panels and aero package of the car we made into something that will snap onto the Lego pieces before I can print them.
