By what system is MB's parts organized?

I have been separating and organizing my irl LEGOs. And I have been using the workshop as a guide. Is this [the workshop's] organization method from LDD or original?

Sorting lego stuff is always a complicated task!
There was a time when TLG was providing categories for each part. This is mainly what you can find on Mecabricks. However, for the past couple of years, they don't anymore. I still kept these categories and I try to insert the new parts in those ones.
LDD is also based on the same categories but they grouped some of them together. E.g. minifig hand accessories with weapons, etc.

Ok cool! Thanks for the quick reply.
I have been timing myself whenever I am able to organize, and so far the total organizing time is approx 21 hours. And I'm not done yet. 😛 But MB has been a big help in the process. 😃

Whenever someone mentions LEGO sorting strategies, I always like to share this bit of humor:

Lol that in a way is so true! 😆

K I finished ... finally, and it took me approx 37 hours. 😃
Thanks to Mecabricks for being a great guide to go by. 😉
