Workshop version 5.0 Bugs

Hello,
Given the major update of the Workshop that went live the other day, I thought it prudent to mention a few small bugs/suggestions that have surfaced as I've been building. I use a Mac (Sierra) and Chrome (v.57.0.2987.133).

  1. Many thanks for fixing the irritating arrow key issue in v.4.0 altering "Local/Global," but a similar issue has surfaced with the part name field in the object data panel. Even if you don't click in there, it randomly starts editing it...
-It's very hard to reproduce, as it seems to happen randomly. I added 3009 to the scene while trying to figure out just what happened, and hit the right arrow key, and the issue happened...it usually seems to happen when I add a part or duplicate a part—but not always.
  2. With the new Group system, the "Move Up" option doesn't seem to do anything.
-I've tried on multiple folders, with various hierarchies, but nothing seems to happen (the folder does not move up, or down, or change status in hierarchy, or anything). Perhaps I still am just not understanding it its proper function...? (EDIT: Okay, it seems to be working now. It wasn't earlier...)

That's all I could find for now. Both are rather minor issues, but I figured this could be a useful thread. 😃

Please be careful and don't generalise your personal experience. If this has been put online it is because it works the way it was intended during the testing phase. However, there may be cases or configurations that may not have been tested.

  1. An event to blur the Select objects added after onchange.
  2. The move up function worked during testing. Just to be clear it doesn't change the depth but it moves the folder up among the siblings.

What is helpful to solve issues is:

  • Browser + OS
  • Sequence of events leading to the issue so that I can reproduce it.

I'm sorry about that. I went back and edited my initial post (there were a few typos that made it seem rather sarcastic) and I added the additional needed information. I hope this is helpful, and thanks! 😃
