miniSHIPtember Contest
JD430w a commencé cette discussion dans Community

I am pleased to announce the Unofficial, Unauthorized, Mecabricks SHIPtember contest! SHIPtember is a contest on Flickr where competitors build huge SHIPs, Seriously Huge Investments in Parts, of spaceships. Now, the limited processing power at my disposal probably could not handle a genuine 100+ stud long SHIP, so my challenge is 50-65 studs, hence the name, "miniSHIPtember". Here are the rules:
-Must be a spacehip.
-Must be tagged, "SHIPtember"
-Must be 40-65 studs long. Slight overages are allowed at my discretion.
-No part intersections.
-Must be micro scale.
Must have a name.
-Backstories and renderings a plus but not required.
The winner of this contest will receive one genuine Internet Point, the best prize I could find for free. Please comment to let me know you have entered or will be entering. Comments? Questions? Think this is the worst idea you've ever heard? Please let me know. Perhaps if this is a success I'll start a MA.Ktober challenge next month, also completely unauthorized and unofficial.

Woot, well done masman! Till next contest 😉

Thanks! @Mathieub yup. 😉

I know no one has posted here in a while, so I apologize for the necro-post or whatever it's called, but were you guys expecting me to start the next contest, or has it been started by someone else somewhere else and I don't know about it?

I wasn't. 😃 I don't think there'll be another contest for a while. 😉

Ok. I can start one soon if everyone thinks they are ready and have time, but I might wait until after the holidays to do another one.

I'd like to wait until I've finished a few more things, so I may pass unless there's a physical prize. 😛

I had all of three entries, so I wasn't really as enthusiastic about setting up more contests as I was in the beginning, but I do like contests. What will yours be about?

I was referring to the Dimensions one, but I am realizing that if I judge it I probably can't enter. And there probably won't be any physical prizes, sorry.

This doesn't really go here, and I apologize for the double post, but how do I get more people to look at my threads? I guess I could just wait a long time...
And about the physical prizes thing, I'm only 13, so I can't buy anything to use as a prize but I could have people pool some money to get something, I guess. I don't know if that would work, though. And I'll start a thread soon for contest ideas. And the contest can be put for whenever it works for you guys. I hope this comes back next year so I can make a V2 of my ship, hopefully not built in an hour because of stuff.

You wanted to know how to get more people to see your threads and you asked me?

Why?

I don't know, probably because I've started like 6 and no one has commented on them, and if I started another to ask, no one would respond to it either.

That's okay MicrospaceGuy. 😉 I'd probably do the LEGO Dimensions contest without a real prize, just because it would be fun. 😃

Ok. I was just suggesting it.

I would enter the Dimensions one. What are the rules?

I think this is called a Zombie Thread? Anywho, if life is good, I can start the Dimensions one. Just let me know.

Sure, go ahead! Although, maybe wait for someone else to answer first. 😛

Go for it, but I can't enter. MB stopped working on my iPad with the last update and long ago on my computer. I'll have to sit this one out. I know nothing about Dimensions anyway, so it's probably for the best.

I'm in.

@ JD430w, would it be possible for you to do it on a borrowed computer or at a library or something? It's fine if not. I would lend you my computer, but I have no idea where you live.

Maybe. I'll see if I can fix my iPad by updating it again. I don't know what I would build anyway, though.
