Exporting inventory XML file to Bricklink
reloj a commencé cette discussion dans Bug Reporting

I tried to export the inventory of some models just to see how the xml file worked.
I don't know if I am doing something wrong, but: the "Bricklink XML" link downloads a file without extention; when you manually add .zip it eventually decompress showing two .xml files, one of which is "London bus - BL.xml".
When you import that file into Bricklink it seems that almost all color codes are messed up (I got lots of Chrome Gold parts in the inventory of the London Bus set, which is primarily red!) and a huge number of parts are not recognised at all.

I thought the matching codes MB-BL are outdated, if I can help re-matching them just contact me, I'll be happy to do it 😃

Hello,
I didn't write the core code of it but I think I know where it comes from for messed up colours. I forgot to populate the table that does the link between the Mecabricks (LEGO) codes and Bricklink code. Oups.

Just checked for file extension. When I download it, I have a .zip file. e.g. Pencil.zip. Which browser are using?

Ah, maybe that's it!
I had the file extension problem with Firefox on Win10, but probably it's my fault. With Firefox on Xubuntu the link leads correctly to the zip file

There's still a problem with the colors being incorrect, but glad you managed to solve the zip problem.
I do wonder how the mappings happen because some parts, like plate 2x10, cannot be found on Bricklink according to the XML. Looking it up on Bricklink gives a result.

@Sim It also depends on what is entered in the Mecabricks database. For example, plate 3832 (2x10) doesn't have bricklink information entered. I always enter data for new parts that I add and I slowly complete the old ones.

For colours, I need to create the column in the database, populate it and update the code so it will take a bit of time.

If you need help, just ask. 😉

It is all good. There aren't any user interfaces for colours. It will be a manual job in phpmyadmin. I already have the corresponding numbers in my colour chart. But thnaks anyway 😉

Hello,

I spend some time to fix and improve the Bricklink export function. Colours shall now work properly and the issue with firefox is sorted.

I tried with a couple of small models and the list generated on Bricklink was ok. There are still a good number of parts in the library which don't have any bricklink data or others that are incorrect but it is slowly getting filled in or corrected.
