The Color Efex Pro filters are great for adding finishing touches to your renders and Dfine does a pretty decent job at denoising renders done at lower sample rates (real fireflies need to be treated in your 3d application, though).

It is a good and bad news but a good one mainly. I was thinking at getting it at some stage. It also means that google is not going to develop it anymore I guess.

Don't meet trouble halfway! 😉 The Google/nik plug-in series is mature software. So the worst thing that could happen would be compatibility issues with future PS versions - if development is really being discontinued. But since the user base is not so small, I assume that compatibility fixes is the least Google will offer.
